About

My name is Allison Arms

Hi, I’m Allison a Catholic convert with a love for simple, intentional living. My heart is happiest when I’m canning garden harvests, quilting, baking homemade bread, sewing veils, or cooking wholesome meals from scratch. These everyday acts have become a quiet form of prayer small ways to honor the beauty and rhythm of God’s creation.

I converted to the Catholic faith at 21, halfway through college, after years of searching for truth and meaning. That decision changed my life and continues to shape how I see the world with gratitude, reverence, and wonder. Around that same time, I was finishing my degree in Biology and playing college softball, both of which taught me discipline, perseverance, and awe for the intricate design of life.

Studying biology gave me a new appreciation for the science behind everyday homemaking from understanding the microbial balance that makes canning safe to the natural processes that make fermentation come alive. It showed me that faith and science aren’t opposed, but rather two ways of marveling at the same creation.

This blog is where those paths meet faith, science, and homemaking each a reminder that holiness can be found in both the grand and the ordinary.
